The Seed Catalogue prepared by the African Biodiversity Network (“ABN”)

The ABN Seed Catalogue (“Catalogue”) is a comprehensive record of 43 seeds that includes invaluable information such as the traditional knowledge associated with the seed, a growing guide, their uses and potential disadvantages, and the plant traits. Some examples of the types of seed information recorded include rice, eggplant, pumpkin and okra. The Catalogue is the result of an ABN project to improve the livelihoods of local communities by enabling their ability to preserve biodiversity, which was implemented in Ethiopia, Benin, Ghana and Zimbabwe.

The Catalogue can be accessed through the ABN website linked here.
